RESERVE — St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office personnel have worked through the night since a violent shootout Wednesday in Reserve left one person dead and three more wounded.

Sheriff Mike Tregre said his department would release more information later this morning, but confirmed details of the shooting that have spread throughout the community.

Many labeled the shooting as “drive-by” in nature.

According to police reports, the homicide took place at approximately 10:30 p.m. Wednesday along Homewood Place in Reserve.

The name of the victim has not been released.

Tregre said no arrests have been made in the shooting.
