Linda Gail Raines Giarratano was born on May 15, 1953, and left in God’s hands on Jan. 17, 2014. Linda was born in New Orleans and was a resident of LaPlace for more than 35 years. She attended River Parishes Technical College in Reserve.

Linda was the daughter of the late Willis Charles Raines and Janice Crawford Raines and sister to Billy Raines. She leaves behind her wonderful devoted husband of 37 years, Anthony Lewis Giarratano, her son David Boyter, three daughters, Toni Marie Giarratano Cangelosi, Tammie Lynn Giarratano Mills and Tanya Ann Giarratano Descant, three sons-in-law, Joseph Mills Sr., Kenneth Cangelosi and Ronald Descant, and nine beautiful grandchildren, Alexis Boyter, Joseph Mills Jr., Anthony Steer, Sara Boyter, Brianna Mills, Nicholas Cangelosi, Kandyss Mills, Andrew Cangelosi and Gage Descant.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Reed Raines Memorial Cemetery in Uneedus, La., on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at 1 p.m.
