St. John Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre is encouraging residents to participate in Night Out Against Crime Oct. 16.

Neighborhoods have already registered 31 parties with the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies will visit all parties registered with the Sheriff’s Office, and authorities are asking residents to show criminals that the community and law enforcement are working together to stop crime at home.
