Lawrence “Perry” Levet Jr., 45, died on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, after a year long battle with leukemia.

He was the beloved father of Gabrielle Leslie, Jeanne Claire and Madeleine Elise Levet, son of Larry and JoAnn Madere Levet, brother of Shelly Ernst, Kelly Curtis and Angelle Farrell and grandson of Pearl Madere and the late Earl Madere and Myrtle Levet and the late Carl Leslie Levet. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was the former husband of Janel Jaubert Levet and devoted friend of Nicole Remondet.

He was a native of Garyville/Reserve and a resident of Hammond. He was a graduate of St. Charles Catholic High School and Memphis State University and was sales manager at Volvo Rents.

Visitation and services were at St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014. Burial followed in St. Peter Cemetery. The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors and staff of St. Tammany Parish Hospital and Hospice for their care of Perry. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers Masses. Arrangements were by Millet-Guidry Funeral Home of LaPlace.
