St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church recently held its 10th annual Blue Mass, celebrated for members of St. John Parish Sheriff’s Department, fire departments and paramedics. After Mass, Father John-Nhan Tran and Father Walter Austin blessed the fleet of vehicles that are used by the first responders. At right, Father John blesses one of the fire trucks with altar server Eden Simoneaux as Damon Lewis and Travis Etie stood in front of their vehicle. All first responders and their family members in attendance were invited to a reception where they enjoyed lunch provided by various local businesses.
