LAPLACE — The River Parishes Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, along with stakeholders from St. John, St. Charles and St. James parishes will host a Community Resource Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023 at New Wine Christian Fellowship, 1929 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace.

The theme of the event is: “Coordinated, Connected, and Committed! Changing and Growing With You! Laying the Foundation to Good Health and Wealth!”

The Community Resource Fair will feature the following: career and business consulting, community health centers, financial consultants, Medicare Advantage representatives, mental health specialists, money management for kids, real estate consultations, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office, succession planning, and voter registration.

There will also be door prizes and a game truck for kids. Attendees are asked to bring a new pair of socks to donate to the local VA.

RPAC’s goal is to foster a culture of wellness throughout the River Parishes by educating, assisting, and empowering the residents and their dependents to improve and maintain their general health and well-being through healthy lifestyle choices and educational resources.
