On Sunday, May 7 at about 3 p.m., officers responded to Dollar General, at 1950 West Airline Highway in LaPlace in reference to a woman reporting an attempted kidnapping. 

Upon arrival, individuals were detained and interviewed. Detectives conducted a thorough investigation and could not find any sufficient evidence to support the complaint.  There was no creditable threat to the public at any time.
