HAHNVILLE – St. Charles Parish will host a town hall meeting at Lakewood Elementary on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 6 p.m. to review and discuss upcoming construction plans for Lakewood Drive. During the meeting, parish officials and contractors will discuss the phased project and how it will affect traffic and other essential services in the surrounding areas.

This Louisiana Department of Transportation project gave the notice to proceed at the end of April, and pre-construction work is underway. Project plans and detour routes will be presented at the meeting and accessible on our website at www.stcharlesparish.gov/lakewooddrive.

The Lakewood Drive project costs $5,979,591.63 million. Eighty percent of the funding will come from the Regional Planning Commission through the State Transportation Plan.
