KENNER — The East St. John High School Literary/Film Club recently toured the Rivertown Planetarium/Space Science Complex in Kenner. This field trip featured a NASA International Space Station prototype as well as an interactive weather exhibit.

The students viewed a beautiful laser light show in the planetarium megadome. The laser light show was a great experience with music by Michael Jackson in the background.

They viewed a real life constellation in the sky with a quick lesson in astronomy. The students toured a NASA prototype of the Apollo 13, 16 and 17 Space shuttle programs. Students were intrigued and asked the tour guide lots of great questions during the tour.

The group ended the field trip with a quick tour through the historic Rivertown. What a great learning experience with lots of fun as well!
