Last night at approximately 6:30 LaPlace experienced a water outage due to emergency repairs. This morning St. John Parish reports that water is slowly being restored.

– Utilities crews have completed the unforeseen water line repairs and water is slowly being restored to LaPlace.

— Out of precaution, LaPlace is now under a Boil Water Advisory, which is estimated to be lifted by the Department of Health in two to three days.

— It is recommended that LaPlace residents and businesses bring their water to a rolling boil before consuming it or using it for food preparation until the Boil Water Advisory is lifted.

An update will be issued when the Boil Water Advisory is lifted.
