LAPLACE—Last week, the Lions Club of LaPlace brought a little bit of Easter joy to the residents of Place du Bourg. In addition to cake and games, the residents crafted Easter bonnets. According to barefootholidays.com, the bonnets tradition originated in Europe in celebration of spring time. The first bonnets were usually a circle of leaves and flowers which symbolized the cycle of the four seasons.
