SJSO seeks Luling man suspected of fleeing train accident

The St. John’s Sheriff’s Office is searching for Kendall Thompson, 43, of Luling, the suspected driver who fled from a crash scene after his truck was struck by a train in LaPlace.
The collision occurred March 27, 2023 about 2 a.m., along the railroad tracks at the intersection of Cardinal Drive and Milton Street.
Officers believe Thompson may have been injured in the crash. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the crash or the whereabouts of Thompson is asked to call Lt. Jared Seruntine at 985-359-8795.
