Boutte man arrested for several drug charges

Sheriff Greg Champagne is proud to announce on Monday, February 13, 2023, Narcotics Detectives with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Willie Young IV, a 37-year-old male from Boutte, LA. Narcotics Detectives received several anonymous complaints of narcotics activity involving Young during the months of January and February 2023.
On Monday, February 13, 2023, Narcotics Detectives assisted during a probation check at Young’s residence in the 500 block of South Kinler Street in Boutte. During the probation check, Detectives obtained sufficient probable cause to request a search warrant for the residence, signed by a 29th Judicial District Court Judge.
Detectives located two opened vacuumed sealed bags and four clear plastic bags containing marijuana. Detectives also located a clear plastic bag containing an off-white hard rock-like substance that field tested positive for Cocaine.
On Monday, February 13, 2023, Willie Young IV was arrested and charged with Possession or Distribution of Drug Paraphernalia, Distribution or Manufacture of Crack Cocaine, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana. He was booked at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center and released on his own recognizance for medical reasons.
