BOUTTE — After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual Pat Pitre Memorial Crawfish Cook-off will return April 22, 2023. The cook-off will be held at the Hahnville High School parking lot.
Ms. Pat Pitre was an impactful librarian at Hahnville High School who touched the hearts of many students. After Pitre passed away from cancer, her family created the Pat Pitre Foundation to provide college scholarships for Hahnville High School students.
All profits earned from the Memorial Crawfish Cookoff go toward the scholarship(s).
A $100 donation includes a team of up to four people. Teams may include up to eight individuals with an additional $100 donation.
Two sacks of crawfish will be provided for each team. Additional fixings and seasonings must be provided by the team. Teams are also asked to bring their own boiling pot, burner, propane, and any other items needed to boil such as: tents, tables, cooking tools, etc.
Since this event is on the Hahnville High School campus, NO ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED. Donations may be in the form of cash or a check made payable to Hahnville High School.
