LAPLACE — The Blood Center will host a blood drive inside the Bloodmobile at St. Charles Catholic High School from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, February 6.
Thirty minutes is all it takes to save a life. You can save the lives of accident victims, adults and children with cancer, and newborn babies who need blood transfusions just hours after coming into this world. Your reward will be the joy of knowing you have saved up to three lives with one donation.
Healthy individuals 17 years of age or older, weighing at least 110 pounds (16-year-olds must have signed parental consent and weigh at least 130 lbs.) are eligible to donate blood. Students and their families are invited to participate. Donors will receive a “Life of the Party” Mardi Gras beanie. Parents/Faculty wishing to donate blood will be able to cut to the head of the line! Donating blood is a responsibility that belongs to each person in the community to assure a safe, adequate blood supply.
