Anthony “Tony” Martinez, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at the age of 68.  He was a resident of LaPlace, LA.

Beloved father of Jeromy Michael Martinez and Anthony Martinez, Jr. (Cheryl).  Grandfather of Kyleigh and Kaiden Martinez.  Son of the late Gerorge Martinez and Pauline Becnel Martinez.  Brother of Phillip Martinez, Roy Martinez (Darlene), Michael Martinez, and the late George Martinez, Jr., Frank Martinez, and Earl Martinez.  Also survived by former wife and lifelong friend Linda McCarty.

Tony was a kind soul with a comical demeanor, who was always there when someone needed him. He enjoyed caring for his horses and playing cards with family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Memorial Service on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Millet Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Hwy., LaPlace, LA. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m.
