SCSO investigates Ama shooting

Deputies with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of gunfire in the 100 block of Zeller Street in Ama, LA just after midnight, today, September 28, 2022. The caller reported hearing approximately 13 gunshots.
Responding deputies located multiple casings in the street in the 100 block of Kennedy Street in Ama. Two vehicles parked in the driveway of a nearby residence sustained damage from multiple gunshots. The residence sustained five gunshot holes that went through the wall and inside the
residence.
A witness reported seeing a dark-colored SUV passing on Kennedy Street just before hearing gunfire.
This is an ongoing active investigation.
