LAPLACE — Donating blood helps the littlest cancer patients in the community fight. In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, The Blood Center is hosting a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, September 18. The Bloodmobile will at the LaPlace Walmart parking lot.

Please help The Blood Center reach its goal of collecting 15 units of blood. Donors will receive a mystery gift when they draw an envelope containing a piece of paper with a prize written on it. Prizes will include gift cards, T-shirts, free pizza vouchers, ice cream vouchers and other items.

Please bring your ID and eat before you donate. Also remember to stay hydrated before and after your donation. Masks are optional.
