RESERVE — Ron Henderson of the Louisiana Department of Insurance’s Office of Community Advocacy visited St. John the Baptist Parish Tuesday evening to answer residents’ insurance related questions and explain policy structure.

Topics included exclusions, loss of use coverage, total insured value, and actual cash value versus replacement cost value. Residents were advised that complaints against an insurance company can be filed at ldi.la.gov.

Participants were also urged to download the home inventory app at naic.org to document property and belongings with photos and videos before and after a storm.
