EDGARD — An afternoon of great food, fun activities and a back to school supply giveaway for West St. John High School and West St. John Elementary students will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, August 6 at the Juan Anthony Joseph Memorial Park located at 3445 Highway 18 in Edgard.

Several food vendors will be serving lunch. Music will be provided by DJ Child Support, and line dancing with Susan Bailey will take place from 2 to 3 p.m.

The event will also include health-related resources. Ochsner will be offering COVID-19 vaccinations. Meanwhile, LA Spirit/Sclhsa-Crisis Counseling will be on-site to offer resources for survivors of Hurricane Ida.
