HAHNVILLE — The Office of Animal Control is excited to invite residents to bring their pets to the St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter on Monday, August 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for National Check the Chip Day.

The Animal Shelter is located at 921 Deputy Jeff G. Watson Drive in Luling.

Pet owners and pets can drop in for a complimentary scan to obtain their pet’s microchip number and company contact to check their registration.

Microchips are secure, reliable tools that store a pet’s contact information in case it goes missing. For more information about microchips or Check the Chip Day, call the Office of Animal Control at 985-783-5010.
