St. John Parish Schools announce promotions; New principal, assistant principal named at WSJ

RESERVE — St. John the Baptist Parish Schools announced the following promotions:
Heather Reese was promoted to assistant principal of John L. Ory Magnet.
Reese holds a Bachelor of arts from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a master of education from Southeastern Louisiana University. Her certifications include Education Leadership Level One and Elementary 1st-8th. She has served in St. John the Baptist Parish schools for 22 years in the following roles: assistant principal from 2019 to 2022 and teacher from 2000 to 2019. Reese is a resident of St. John Parish. She’s a proud alumna of St. John Parish Public Schools and an involved parent within the school system.
Ulysses Jarrow was promoted to transportation coordinator.
Jarrow is a bachelor of science candidate at Southern New Hampshire University, and he also holds an associate’s degree in theology from F. H. Dunn Christian Bible college. His certifications include Louisiana School Bus Driver Instructor from the Louisiana Department of Education, Route Planner from Edulog Logistics, Edutracker Software Curriculum, and Expository Preaching and Teaching. Jarrow has served 14 years in the St. John the Baptist Parish school system in the following roles: transportation assistant from 2019 to 2022, school bus driver from 2018 to 2021, and substitute bus driver in 2008. Jarrow is a proud alumnus and parent within the St. John the Baptist Parish School System and a native of the parish.
Corey Lambert was promoted to assistant principal of West St. John High School.
Lambert holds a bachelor of science degree from Nicholls State University and a master of multi-cultural education from Southern University at New Orleans. He also has a master of education supervision and leadership plus 30 hours from Our Lady of Holy Cross. His certifications include Education Supervision and Leadership Level Three and Health and Physical Education K-12. Lambert has been an educator for 24 years and has served in St. John Parish Schools in the following capacities: assistant principal from 2018-2019/2020-2022 and interim principal from 2019 to 2020.
Rayven Calloway was promoted to principal of West St. John High School.
Calloway is a doctoral candidate at Louisiana State University. She has a master of art in teaching and a bachelor of art from Nicholls state University. Her certifications include Education Leadership Level One and Elementary 1st-8th. Calloway has served for 15 years in the education field in the following districts and schools: head of school for Mary D. Coghill in Orleans Parish, academy director for Mary D. Coghill, district instructional specialist in St. James Parish, and assistant principal and teacher in St. Mary Parish.
