Woman arrested for stealing rental car

On Monday at 1:30 pm, Ponchatoula Police received a call from a rental car company in Baton Rouge stating that one of their vehicles had been stolen and that it was pinging at an address on N. 12th Street in Ponchatoula. Officers verified that the vehicle was in fact stolen and were able to locate it at the given address.
The driver, identified as Rhiannon Adkins-Woods, was sitting in the driver’s seat and admitted to being in possession of the vehicle. The driver was taken into custody for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and a free air sweep was conducted on the vehicle by K9 Flash due to the strong smell of narcotics coming from the vehicle. Flash gave a positive alert for illegal substances and upon a search of the vehicle, Officers located a backpack containing suspected marijuana, crack cocaine, heroin, multiple empty plastic baggies, and a digital scale.
Rhiannon Adkins-Woods (30 of Greenwell Springs) was booked for
**Possession of Stolen Property
**2 counts of Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I CDS
**1 count Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS
She was transported to the Tangipahoa Parish Jail.
