SCSO makes arrest in death of St. Rose man

Sheriff Champagne announces that an arrest was made in the death of Morlon Vinnett that occurred Friday, May 20, 2022, at approximately 11:30 pm.
On Friday, May 20, 2022, at approximately 11:30 pm, deputies with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a deceased male located in a parking lot in the 100 block of St. Rose Avenue in St. Rose, LA.
The deceased was identified as Morlon Vinnett, a 50-year-old St. Rose resident.
Throughout the investigation, sufficient evidence was gathered, and detectives were able to obtain a warrant, signed by a 29th Judicial District Court Judge, for the arrest of Todd Anthony Adams, a 45-year-old St. Rose resident in relation to the incident.
Todd Adams was located and placed under arrest. Adams is being charged with LRS 14:31 Manslaughter and LRS 14:130.1 Obstruction of Justice.
