TPSO arrests man identified as using counterfeit money

Chief Jimmy Travis reports the arrest of Shaun McGovern (W/M 41-years-old) of General Ott Road, who was identified as the subject using counterfeit money throughout Tangipahoa Parish. McGovern was seen on two separate occasions entering Dollar General Stores in Natalbany and Pumpkin Center, and presenting counterfeit bills to the clerks.
Chief Travis thanks those who helped in identifying McGovern, however, the investigation is still ongoing and additional arrests are pending at this time.
McGovern was charged with (2) counts of Monetary Instrument Abuse.
Note: All persons accused of any crime are assumed innocent until proven guilty.
