SCSO makes arrest for St. Rose attempted murder

Arrest made for attempted murder on Turtle Creek Lane in St. Rose, LA on March 28, 2022.
On Monday, March 28th 2022 shortly after 9:00 pm, deputies with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s
Office responded to the report of a shooting in the 500 Block of Turtle Creek Lane in St. Rose,
LA.
According to the victim, a male subject knocked on the door of a residence occupied by the
victim. When the victim opened the door, the male subject began shooting at him. The victim
suffered five non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Witnesses reported seeing a black male clad in
all black, running from the location.
The victim identified as Jonathan Beason, a 42 year old male St. Rose, LA resident, was
transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment. He is in stable condition.
Shortly after the incident, Beason was able to identify the shooter to deputies as TJ, who had
stayed at the incident location on occasion. Through investigation, detectives were able to identify
probable cause to issue an arrest warrant for Troy Christopher Evans, Jr, a 22 year old male New
Orleans, LA resident.
Troy Christopher Evans, Jr was arrested and booked into the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center
on Tuesday, April 5th 2022. Evans has been charged with attempted second degree murder.
