SCSO investigates St. Rose attempted carjacking

On Sunday, April 3rd 2022 just after 5:00 pm, deputies with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of an attempted carjacking on Airline Highway in St. Rose, LA.
The victim, an elderly male, reported that two black male subjects with long hair attempted to steal his car. At least one subject was armed with a firearm. They were unsuccessful due to dropping the keys. The suspects fled the scene in a black Chevrolet Impala with a low spoiler and damage to the rear bumper going towards Kenner. There were no injuries reported during this incident.
This investigation is still ongoing.
There is no threat to the public, but you may notice an increased police presence in the area.
