LAPLACE — The Knights of Columbus, Ascension of our Lord, Council 9623 in LaPlace, recently awarded the Catholic Youth Leadership Scholarship Award.
Each year, two 12th grade students are awarded a scholarship to attend the college of their choice. The students’ applications are turned in to the Archdiocese of New Orleans Competition Level. From there, the applications will move on to the State Competition Level.
This year’s winners of the Catholic Youth Leadership Scholarship Awards are Gabrielle Conner and Barry Cummins Jr. Gabrielle Conner will be enrolling at Louisiana State University in the fall.
Barry Cummins Jr. will be enrolling at Xavier University in the fall.
