Parks and Recreation reopens East Bank Bridge Park playground

DESTREHAN — The Department of Parks and Recreation has opened the playground and remote-control car track at the East Bank Bridge Park after assessing damages and cleaning up from Hurricane Ida. For the safety of residents, the baseball fields remain closed.
The East Bank Bridge Park is one of 25 parks and boat launches deemed safe and open in St. Charles Parish.
A full list of open parks includes:
Ama: St. Mark’s Park
Bayou Gauche: Bayou Gauche Park
Des Allemands: Des Allemands Boat Launch, Des Allemands Walking Park, JB Green Park
Destrehan: Nottoway Park, Panther Run Park, Red Church Park
Hahnville: Fashion Plantation Park, Keller St. Park, Holy Rosary Park
Luling: Ashton Park, Lagattuta Park, Monsanto Park Playground (Tennis Courts & Fields Remain Closed), R.K. Smith Park
New Sarpy: Collins Park, East Harding Park, West Harding Park
Norco: Bonnet Carre’ Spillway Boat Launch, Goodhope St. Park. Sacred Heart Park
St. Rose: Fairfield Park, Mississippi Levee Trail Park, Parquet Park
All other parks remain closed until further notice.
