LAPLACE — The following food distributions are taking place Saturday, Sept. 11 in St. John the Baptist.

HOT MEALS

• Hot Meals for lunch at Ascension of our Lord at Noon
• Hot Meals for lunch at Fifth Ward Elementary at 1pm
• Hot Meals for lunch at Juan Joseph Park at 11 am
• Hot Meals for lunch at St. Peter Church at Noon
• Hot Meals for lunch at Life House Church at Noon

A Farmers Market will be held at St. John Theatre from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, September 11, Sunday, September 12 and Wednesday, Sept. 15. The Farmers Market is open to the public, and produce and baked goods will be sold.

As a reminder, water, ice and MREs are being given out at drive-thru distribution sites daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

• Wallace Fire Station – 5733 Hwy 18, Vacherie (Wallace)
• REGALA Gym – 200 REGALA Park Rd, Reserve
• Garyville Magnet School – 240 Hwy 54, Garyville

The St. John Fire Department and National Guard are out in neighborhoods handing out water, ice & MRES.
