LUTCHER — St. James Parish Hospital is extremely excited to welcome a new podiatry clinic to its growing list of independent, specialty clinics.

Dr. Zachary Lamkin, with Delta Foot and Ankle, is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon. Dr. Lamkin founded Delta Foot and Ankle with hopes to serve the people of Southeast Louisiana with personalized, quality foot and ankle care.

Dr. Lamkin graduated with honors from Southern Arkansas University, where he became certified in intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring and worked as a surgical neurophysiologist in spine and brain surgery. After several years of working in neurosurgery, Dr. Lamkin returned to school with an academic scholarship and received his medical education at Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. After graduating, he completed a three-year, high volume surgical residency that focused on reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. During his residency, Dr. Lamkin was exposed to the latest techniques in minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery as well as limb salvage and amputation prevention.

Dr. Lamkin enjoys all aspects of foot and ankle care and is particularly interested in foot and ankle biomechanics and reconstructive surgery. His surgical practice ranges from the treatment of bunions and hammertoes to flatfoot deformity correction and ankle arthritis. He believes strongly in educating his patients to empower them to make better decisions about their overall health.

Dr. Lamkin serves on the Louisiana State Board of Podiatric Medicine to advocate for the foot and ankle care needs of the people of Louisiana. He has published articles for national publications and has lectured for the prestigious Podiatry Institute. When Dr. Lamkin is not working, he enjoys hunting, fishing and the outdoors, as well as spending time with his family.

Dr. Lamkin sees patients in Metairie, LaPlace and Lutcher. His local clinic will be offered in Suite 1200 in the Medical Plaza next to St. James Parish Hospital. He will see patients every Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon. To schedule an appointment in Lutcher, call 504-835-1849.
