LAPLACE — There were four winners at the recently held Diocesan Basketball Free Throw Contest, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Ascension of our Lord Council 9623. They were Luke Ponville, Brody Matherne, Kolin Tregue and Mikaela Miquel.

At the state level of the Basketball Free Throw Contest, there were two winners sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Ascension of our Lord Council 9623. In first place, at the 13-year-old level, Brody Matherne was the winner. In second place, at the 12-year-old level, Luke Ponville was the winner.
