No injuries recorded in 2 house fires; donations sought for small children
GARYVILLE — On February 17, St. John the Baptist Parish firefighters responded to a structure fire on Little Hope Street in Garyville. No one was in the residence at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries. A resident shared that she, her father and her children lost everything in the fire. The family appreciates any donations, particularly clothing donations for the children. Sizes are as follows: girl clothes size 6T, boy and girl (twins) clothes size 4T and boy clothes size 3T. The St. John Parish Fire Department also responded to a residential house fire in the 300 block of West Fifth Street in LaPlace the evening of February 16. No injuries were reported.
