Get organized with Community Shred Day

LAPLACE — St. John the Baptist Parish will hold a Community Shred Day in two locations on Saturday, Sept. 26.

Shred Day will take place on the West Bank from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Juan Anthony Joseph Memorial Park at 3445 Highway 18 in Edgard. The East Bank event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the St. John Community Center, located at 2900 Highway 51 in LaPlace.

Residents can bring documents such as old bank statements, tax returns, bills, receipts, credit card applications and outdated medical records to be confidentially shredded. Please remember to remove all paper clips, staples and other bindings.

This event is free to St. John residents. It is for residential shredding only (not commercial shredding). Shredding will be accepted until capacity is reached.
