In an effort to limit large groups of offenders being confined together in small spaces, at this time, the St. John Sheriff’s Office is not booking for misdemeanors and non-mandatory arrest crimes. However, criminal suspects are not getting a free pass during the coronavirus outbreak. Deputies may issue written summons for very minor non-violent offenses and other offenses such as unpaid traffic tickets. Any person who commits a more serious offense will be arrested.
