17th Arrest for repeat juvenile offender

A 15-year-old male juvenile from LaPlace was arrested for the 17th time on Feb. 14, this time for possession of a firearm by a juvenile.
He has been transferred to the Terrebonne Youth Correctional Center, according to the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office.
During the arrest on Feb. 14, a 17-year-old male juvenile with the 15-year-old was arrested for illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile (misd) and possession of/dealing in firearms with obliterated number/mark (misd).
The 17-year-old has been released to the custody of his mother.
The 15-year-old juvenile has been arrested numerous times since 2016 in St. John Parish for several charges including illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile, simple burglary of residence, resisting an officer, disturbing the peace, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, contempt of court, and criminal trespass.
On Feb. 5, he was arrested for simple criminal damage to property — $50,000+ (felony) and simple burglary of inhabited dwelling.
