Derrel Dibartolo Wanted by SJSO

LAPLACE — Detectives with the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office are seeking the public’s help in locating Derrel Dibartolo, 31, of Killona.

Dibartolo is a suspect in a shooting that occurred during a private party at an elementary school in Edgard on December 23, 2019. Four people were shot. All victims were transported to a local hospital. All victims were treated and released. Officers also discovered five vehicles had been struck by multiple bullets.

Sheriff Mike Tregre said there were several citizens that witnessed the shooting, but no one has come forward with any assistance at all. No motive is known at this time.

Citizens with information about this incident that call Crimestoppers do not have to testify in court and may qualify for a cash reward. Citizens can also submit tips on the Sheriff’s Office website at http://stjohnsheriff.org/.

On December 23, 2019 Marcus Isom, 34, of Edgard also was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated second degree battery and illegal use of weapon in connection to this incident.
