Cross Country Comets earn District accolades

LAPLACE — The St. Charles Catholic Boys’ Cross Country Team had a District II-2A runner-up finish this week.The girls’ team finished third. Senior runner Gregory Bergeron was named All-District.
The following athletes are state qualifiers:
Greg Bergeron, Collin Cedotal, Dominic Boesen, Devon Rucker, Luke Ringe, Ishan Iyer, Timmy Capdeboscq, Juliana Portillo, Gabriella Portillo, Courtney Brouwer, Alyssa Hooge, Torie Joseph, Jessica Basilides and Alani Dew.
There will be a state meet Nov. 18 at Northwestern State University.
