DESTREHAN — Shannon Waltz, a kindergarten teacher at New Sarpy Elementary for the past 20 years, was diagnosed with kidney failure in October 2018. As of summer 2019, she has been placed on the waiting list for a combined kidney-pancreas transplant.
To raise money pre- and post-transplant, her family and friends are raffling off a five-night stay in a two-bedroom condo in Sandestin, Florida with a round of golf for two. The winner will be drawn Feb. 17, 2020. Tickets will be $5 each. Proceeds will go toward lifelong medication post-transplant, medical bills and traveling expenses to and from doctor’s appointments and hospital stays.
Tickets can be purchased with cash, check or Venmo.
Please Venmo money to Shannon Waltz @ShannonWaltz-Transplant and include your first and last name, amount of tickets you would like to purchase and phone number in the comments. A photo of your stubs can be sent to you through text or through mail by request.
