LAPLACE — Katherine Bergeron’s quick moves on the soccer field made her the winner of the International Soccer Challenge Competition.

At Katherine’s seventh grade graduation, she was presented with a plaque from the Ascension of Our Lord Knights of Columbus Council 9623 to celebrate the achievement.

To advance to the international level of competition, Katherine claimed first place at the local Soccer Challenge Competition in the 13-year-old age group. She went on to win first place in the Archdiocesan Soccer Challenge Competition and in State Soccer Challenge Competition for her age division.

Her winning totals were compared to other 13-year-old Soccer Challenge Competition winners from around the world to give her the win.
