DONALDSONVILLE – The LA DOTD announced the Sunshine Bridge will have short-term intermittent closures between 8 p.m. and midnight Thursday. Only one direction of traffic will be briefly closed at a time. The closures are necessary for DOTD to conduct further inspections of the bridge following a tanker collision. While the fender system prevented any structural damage to the bridge, DOTD will make more in-depth inspections.
