The initial broadcast appeared on our website, lobservateur.com, on Wednesday (April 3) and is easy to download or play from the site.

The inaugural podcast featured an interview with news editor Brooke Robichaux, detailing her coverage of the LaPlace Feed Store second degree murder trial, which concluded last week in Edgard.

Robichaux attended numerous pre-trial hearings, spoke to family members of the victim and defendant and attended each day of the trial.

Additional episodes are planned weekly and will feature guests and subjects centered on the issues and events with the most impact for River Region residents.
