Police says man shot in LaPlace not cooperating

LAPLACE — A local man shot in the arm in broad daylight is not helping authorities locate the person or people responsible for shooting him, according to the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies received a call of gunshots heard in the area of Jean Street in LaPlace at approximately 1:45 p.m. Sunday.
Upon arrival, officers located a 21-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his arm. “He was treated at a local hospital and released,” a Sheriff’s Office release said. “The victim is refusing to cooperate with detectives.”
