Irene Whitman Starlone recently published her first book, “Henry Humming,” which is about a humming bird who goes out on a search to cure his sister’s cancer.

Irene is conducting a book signing from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at PJ’s Coffee in LaPlace.

Irene grew up in LaPlace, and attended Reserve Christian, St. Joan of Arc and St. Charles Catholic.
