LAPLACE — The seventh grade classes at St. Joan of Arc Catholic School have been learning about qualitative and quantitative observations in science class with Janet McCann.
To put those observation types into action, students used all five senses to describe a Jolly Rancher candy.
To practice qualitative observation, they had to describe the sound of unwrapping it, as well as the appearance, smell, taste and feel of the piece of candy in detail.
