RESERVE — It was all smiles for the students at St. Peter School in Reserve Aug. 10 as they were welcomed back for the first day of a new school year.

Led by the SPS cheer squad, students and teachers participated in a back-to-school pep rally and were given fruit roll up treats by Principal Marie Comeaux, as an indication that its time to “roll up” their sleeves and dig into another outstanding school year.

St. Peter students are expected to “make the climb in faith, leadership, and academics.”

Much to the delight of students, the St. Peter School mascot, Ramsey the Ram, was present to greet and share friendly high-fives.

Students were welcomed to a freshly renovated auditorium, allowing the school to now host home sporting events. A new Reading Specialist teacher and program has been added to meet the educational needs of all students.

The youngest of the St. Peter School Ram family were welcomed on Monday as the SPS Early Education Department opened its doors to those ages 18-months-old through Pre K4.
