River Region Ballet holding Nutcracker Auditions Aug. 26

NORCO — River Region Ballet is holding Nutcracker Auditions Aug. 26 at the River Region Performing Arts & Cultural Center, 15146 River Road in Norco.
Auditions are open for all roles, organizers said, adding there are approximately 125 roles in Nutcracker for actors and dancers, ages 5 through adult.
There are varying degrees of theatrical and dancing skills required for different roles. All dancers must audition.
The following schedule for auditions has been set:
• 9:30 – 10 a.m.: Boys 5-11
• 10 – 10:30 a.m.: Boys/Teens 12 and Older
• 10:30 – 11 a.m.: Men/Women Theatrical Roles
• 11 – noon: Girls 5-8
• 12:15 – 1:45 p.m.: Girls 9-12
• 2 – 4 p.m.: Dancers 13 and older
If on pointe, female dancers should bring their shoes.
There is an audition fee of $15.
All Dancers must sign-in a half hour prior to audition time, and the audition forms must be completed and signed by responsible adult.
Dancers will not be admitted once audition has started.
This year’s performances will take place Dec. 1-3.
Performers must be present at all required performances.
