SJSO celebrates POST Corrections graduation

- Graduates are: Tianna Hart, Shantel Bardell, and Stacey Tassin, front, of the SJSO; and Xavier Ramirez of the Hammond Police Dept.; and back, Brian Kennedy, Valrie Macon, and Damien Dinet, back, of the SJSO. With the graduates are Lt. Jose Rel, Assistant Warden Gordon Jeffcoat, Warden James Oubre, Assistant Warden Anthony Giovingo, and the Rev. Ernest August.
Sheriff Mike Tregre sends congratulations to the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office’s third class of Peace Officer Standards and Training for Corrections officers.
Officers from the SJSO as well as the Hammond Police Department participated in the 92-hour POST Corrections training and graduated from the department’s third class July 28 during a ceremony at Patrol Headquarters in LaPlace.
“This class learned a lot, and they really worked hard,” Assistant Warden Lt. Geo Giovingo said.
