LAPLACE — A local man’s decision to keep a gun on him ended with a 10-year jail sentence, authorities said.
Tristan Sharlow, 26, was sentenced to 10 years with the Department of Corrections on April 17 and given credit for time served from Oct. 21, 2015.
St. John the Baptist Parish District Attorney Bridget A. Dinvaut said Sharlow’s sentence was standard under state guidelines because of a previous conviction.
The LaPlace man was arrested Oct. 21, 2015, for carrying a concealed weapon by a convicted felon.
