2017 All-St. John Parish Boys Basketball Team
Javon Antonio, East St. John High, Jr. — A returning player from last year’s team, the 6-foot-5 Antonio bumped his average up to 13.5 points per game this season.
Jordan Arceneaux, St. Charles Catholic, Sr. — The leader of the Comets in their historic season, he averaged 23 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists per game.
Jalen Banks, Riverside Academy, Jr. — A 6-foot-3 shooting guard, Banks averaged 9.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and one steal per game.
Jared Butler, Riverside Academy, Jr. — The leader of the Rebels this season, he averaged 20.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 3.2 steals per game. He posted a career-high 43 points in a 97-39 win over Christian Life.
John Holmes, West St. John High, Jr. — One of the bright spots in a difficult season, Holmes averaged 16.6 points, 2.3 assists and 6.2 rebounds for the Rams this season.
R.J. Knighton, St. Charles Catholic, So. — One of the young players the Comets will be counting on in the future, Knighton averaged 7 points per game.
Garland Robertson, Riverside Academy, Jr. — Another Rebel who took his skills from football to the basketball court, Robertson averaged 13.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 3.7 steals per game.
Jamal Walters, West St. John High, Sr. — One of the team’s best all-around athletes, Walters averaged 16.6 points, 2.3 assists and 6.2 rebounds per game in a season that saw the Rams struggle.
Allen Williams, East St. John High, Jr. — A first-team All-District 7-5A selection, Williams averaged 14.9 points, 3 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game for the Wildcats.
Tommy Charles, St. Charles Catholic, Sr. — One of two senior players, Charles stepped up his game and averaged 9 points per game this season.
